    Hello Bob:

So, I hope everyone else had a good Turkey Day (we did). We shuffled off to Mac Town to have dinner with MrsFist's mom & step dad. With the tree farm opening up for U-Cuts, and a general sentiment of being tired of the standard holiday insanity, we said screw all of the big plans and kieep it simple. So we did. We got a pre-prepared turkey & fixin's from the store. Lame? Maybe. As good as home-cookin'? Probably not. Stress free holiday? Definitely. Honestly, we ate our brains out. After spending the night and catching McMinnville's Christmas Parade, we went home - still full. MrsFist ended up going back to help out with farm stuff, so that left me and HannyJr on our own for Bachelorama 2005. This is pretty much what we did last year. MrsFist helps out her folks and the boy and I drink a ton of beer, smoke cigars, and hire some strippers... Okay, well we didn't do all of that this year (strippers are expensive), but we had a good time anyway. I actually had plans to work on cleaning up the garage, painting, laundry, etc. But honestly? After TG, I was still full, backed-up, bloated, weighed-down... I was a lethargic mess. I swear after getting home, I spent WAY more time this weekend crapping than eating. But I digress... HannyJr and I ended up playing some video games (surprisingly less than one might think), watched some movies, hung out by the fire, and had some really good quality time. Like it is for a lot of kids and parents, the boy is a lot easier to deal with when it's just the two of us. I don't know what it is, but when we're all home the dynamics change. I think the little soul-suckers experiment with our heads, knowing that there are differences between parents - seeing how differently we react to things, seeing how we react to each other reacting, seeing how efficiently parent A can be used against parent B. Little bastards. But I digress... again. But as I was saying, he was really good this weekend. What was also helpful to that affect was the point system we've started with him. Pretty typical parenting stuff. He gets a "point" as recognition for good behavior. When he gets ten points, he gets a little something like a trip for ice cream or some little toy. Anyway, this post is disintegrating into rambling, so I'm gonna leave it at that. Oh yeah, I mentioned gas... So, I hope everyone else had a good Turkey Day (we did).
