La partita è sonnacchiosa, ma la maggiore pressione del Como crea qualche grattacapo al portiere dell'Acireale Di Masi, che al 14' interviene a rinviare di pugno una palla che un rimpallo al limite dell'area aveva fato diventare buona per Gambino. L'Acireale risponde con un cross di Sanetti per Ventura, anticipato d'un soffio, ma è ancora il Como a rendersi pericoloso al 19' con Miftah che mette in mezzo un pericoloso cross, ma Di Masi blocca. Al 25', palla-gol per il Como: Carotti semina Danotti sulla destra e mette in mezzo, Graziano ci arriva e tocca al volo, ma il pallone è troppo angolato e finisce a lato.
