I have looked at the features of several PC programs like Ozi, Fugawi, TTQV, but without a GPS the descriptions didn't make that much sense, so I did not get one yet. My plan is to record some tracks, and download some demo versions and play with them. I have a couple of questions on how to best do the recording, so I have some useful tracks to work with: 1) Tracklog download: Is there a utility somewhere to just download the tracklog to a PC as a flat file in a format that is recognized by these programs. I want to record different tracklogs and save those as different files and then use these logs with the different programs. 2) Recording tracklogs a) Recording multiple different trails in one active tracklog. As the Garmin loses tracklog resolution when saving a log, I want to avoid saving logs and only download the active log. Is there any reason, why I cannot turn recording on, walk a trail, turn recording off, drive to another trail, turn on, walk & record, etc. so I have multiple independent trails - in different locations - in the same tracklog ? (I remember reading something about the mapping programs or the GPS getting confused ?) b) Is there any benefit in setting waypoints at the beginning and end of each trail ? c) If trails intersect or connect, how do I record them ? E.g. if a trail starts at A, five miles down at point B intersects with another trail, and ends at C & the other trail going from B to D - How do I record it ? Set a waypoint at A, B and C, then go back from C to B (recording on or off ?) and then going to D ? d) If trail numbers change ? I.e. trail 3 going into 4 going into 6. Do I just record it all in one go and set a waypoint at each of these points ? I want to be able to split each trail(section) out later in the PC programs, only show some of them, color them different, etc. Thanks in advance, JJ We have a 1960's LEC fridge (looks very retro, don't ask about the efficiency!). Earlier this week the cooling unit (icebox) started to defrost. It has been happening very slowly, and now a week later the fridge is noticably warmer and most ice in the icebox has melted. The cooling parts still feel cold to the touch, but not freezing. The motor is still running (infact from what I can tell almost continuously). For this reason I think the thermostat is probably working. From my basic knowledge of fridges I would say that for some reason the coolant isn't circulating. Could I be right? What else could be wrong and can it be fixed? I have tried googling for an answer and I have found lots of sites saying how a restored retro fridge can sell for £500, but no details of anyone who actually restores them. I assume if I called out an engineer they might just laugh at the age of the thing. I can't imagine anywhere would sell 40 year old parts. Any help would be good. My preference is to change "delegate" to "issuer" (see footnote). Of course, there is potential for confusion with the element. But, when seen in context (inside the element) its meaning should be clear. An alternative for would be . But, my preference is to leave it as . Perhaps we should talk about "administrative" policy, instead of "administration" policy, to align with "administrative" request, since "administration" request doesn't seem to convey the meaning well. Having evaluated a "pending policy", i.e. one that it is not "in force" because it contains a element, the contents of the element would be placed in the element of the administrative request context. The context handler may include additional verified attributes of the "policy issuer". As currently defined, we are allowing the issuer of a policy to include others of its attributes in addition to its names. For the next draft I intend to focus on making the descriptive text more clear and consistent. Although the processing model and schema fragments are consistent now (as far as I know), the descriptive text is still a bit messy. We need to come up with consistent terminology and mental models to use for the descriptions. Any suggestions are most welcome, but lacking any input, I will do my best on my own. :-) I am not planning to add any new features for the next draft, since I would rather wait with that until the basics are well defined and explained.
